David Koresh was the leader of the Branch Davidians, a religious sect based in Waco, Texas. In 1993, a standoff between the group and federal agents resulted in a siege on their compound. The conflict culminated in a tragic fire that led to the deaths of Koresh and many of his followers. Koresh was accused of various charges, including child abuse and illegal weapons possession.
